Foraging Toys
Providing foraging toys should be the primary goal in furnishing your pet bird's cage. Instinctively pet birds have a wild nature that makes them want to move around and explore their world, and when cooped up in a cage that instinct is restricted. Providing toys that make your bird "work" not only will distract them from feather-destructive behavior, but also make them happier and more well-adjusted to being caged. While most birds will thrive from also being able to get out of their cages and explore a larger world (in a safe environment), many times this is not possible due to many factors. So providing your birds with a variety of toys that will expand their horizons, so to speak, while in the safety of their cages, will go a long way to making them a happy feathered friend.
